Elif keeps turning out the lights to enlighten the future’!

Elif supported the 'Earth Hour' movement in the fight against climate change by turning off the lights at 20:30 on the last Saturday of March this year as it was in the past years.

Launched in Sydney in 2007 under the leadership of the Australian wildlife protection Foundation (WWF), the Earth Hour action, which has become one of the world's largest global movements in 2008, aims to create awareness for an impact that can reverse climate change. Elif, one of the pioneers in Turkey, realized by turning off the lights for an hour was aimed at raising awareness in the issues such as climate changes, water resources depletion, loss of biological diversity which comes up against the world.

Acting with respect for the environment and human life in every decision and every step it takes and conscious of responsibility towards the future generations, Elif adds a new one to its eco-friendly packaging solutions every day. It contributes to sustainability through innovations to improve existing materials, as well as the large environmentalist portfolio it offers to its customers. Elif, who was awarded ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certificate in 2007, also invites all individuals and institutions to contribute to a sustainable future as the first packaging company that is entitled to receive the Environmental Permit in the process of harmonization with the EU.

Elif will continue to produce ‘Packaging for Life’ by taking part in projects for the protection, improvement and sustainability of environment and human life.
